Founded in 2000 by CEO and Creative Director Jeremy Wellard, HB Studios is headquartered in beautiful Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, and currently employs over 70 very talented and hard working people. In 2003, Jeremy Wellard won the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Atlantic Canada.
HB Studios' first release, Cricket 2002 for EA Sports on the PlayStation2, was released in December 2001. It became the #1 holiday release in Australia that year and reached #4 in the UK.
HB Studios was ranked the 26th most successful developer in 2006; up from 32nd in 2005 and 46th in 2004 according to develop 100.
With the release of NBA Live 08 in October 2007 the Studio has shipped 13 Titles and 81 SKUs.
